We have been retained by leading chemicals company based in the NW, who are seeking a talented Process Safety Engineer to join our team and contribute to the site with process and occupational safety.

The Role: Reporting to the Global Safety Manager, you'll utilise your chemical engineering background to assess and enhance the safety of our processes, identifying and mitigating potential hazards across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting process hazard analyses (PHA) and risk assessments.
  • Developing and implementing process safety management systems.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on process safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize safety and efficiency.
  • Leading incident investigations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications / Experience

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in process safety management within the chemical industry.
  • Ideally, EHS experience and NEBOSH qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
