Trainee CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

Are you looking to progress your programming skills and learn to programme and machine highly complex components? Our client based on the outskirts of Coventry is looking for an enthusiastic CNC Miller setter operator who is looking to take their next step into programming. The ideal candidate will be confident setting and operating CNC Milling machines ideally with some programme editing experience. When you are in a position to independently programme you salary will be reviewed as well as having the opportunity to get more involved in the CADCAM side. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential. Training and support will be given by friendly, supportive and skilled CNC Engineers. Our client produces interesting Low volume and prototype work for a range of industries.

Trainee CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

  • Setting and operating CNC Milling machines
  • Editing programmes at the machine
  • Shadowing engineers learning to programme at the machine
  • Set and operate 3/4 Axis machines
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings
  • Prepare and load materials and parts onto the machines
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements

Trainee CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

  • £14.00-£16.50 per hour (Pay rise after can independently programme)
  • Overtime paid at x1.5
  • Days Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm / Lunch time finish Friday
  • 33 days holiday
