Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the successful delivery of the earthworks package on a major highways project, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate and manage on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, to ensure efficient and safe execution of works.
- Implement and maintain robust health, safety, and environmental procedures in accordance with company standards and statutory regulations.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including client representatives and engineering teams, to provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Utilize NEC contract management principles to effectively administer the contract and resolve any contractual matters that may arise.
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role, ideally within the highways or civil engineering sector.
- Extensive experience in earthworks construction, including excavation, embankment construction, and soil stabilization techniques.
- Strong understanding of NEC contract management principles and previous experience working with NEC contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of successfully managing site teams and subcontractors to deliver projects to the highest standards.
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management are highly desirable.
