Key Responsibilities:
Job Requirements:
- Develop and implement the maintenance strategy and policies for all highway structures
- Lead the forward programme of works to ensure the highway structure assets are well-maintained
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on structural engineering matters
- Manage and review structural assessments and inspections
- Oversee the design and construction of new structures and the refurbishment of existing structures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of projects
- Conduct quality assurance and control processes
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in structural engineering, with a particular focus on highway structures
- Strong knowledge of bridge engineering and maintenance
- Proficiency in developing maintenance strategies and policies
- Experience in project management and programme delivery
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE) is desirable
