About the role
EMBS Engineering are supporting a high-profile, well-established, precision engineering company in Coventry who are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their company on a permanent basis.

Our client is a globally recognised market leader in the manufacture of complex, intricate components for various industries, but predominantly the aerospace market.

Role Overview
Working within specific value streams, the successful applicant will be supporting internal and external quality processes and will act as a conduit between Customers and Suppliers by driving improvements into the business from internal data analysis, customer & supplier inputs.

Responsibilities

• Leading RCCA events following an 8D methodology
• Leading FMEA activities within the assigned value stream
• Carry out internal audits and support with 3rd party audits
  • Proactive assess supplier performance
• Utilise quality toolkit and control plans such as; PPAP, APQP, MSA, FAIR, NCR, SPC, capability studies etc
• Work to AS9100 standards 
• Focus on a "Zero Defects" policy

Experience required

• Strong Quality Engineering background - previously held a Quality Engineering position
• Involved in precision engineering / advanced manufacturing businesses that produce small to medium-sized or sub-assembly components into high-profile sectors, ideally Aerospace, Automotive or Defence
• Detailed Quality toolkit i.e. - PPAP, FMEA, APQP, RCA, MSA, SPC, Capability Studies, Control Plans
• Good understanding of problem-solving tools i.e. - 8D, 5Y, Fishbone, Ishikawa etc
• Knowledge of Lean/CI techniques
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels
