Multiskilled Field Service Engineer

Ideal Location: Leeds / Doncaster covering nationally.

Basic Salary £38,000 basic (Neg) 40 hour week-  (£53K including average overtime, paid door to door)

LWS Services are proud to be the exclusive recruitment partner of an award-winning team who are global leaders within the Industrial Shredder equipment market. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Multiskilled Field Service Engineer Role & Responsibilities will include:

• Travelling to customer sites, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and fixing industrial shredding machinery to ensure that customer downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Inspections and services of shredders and recycling machinery to ensure that customer downtime is avoided, and throughput levels maintained.
• Installing and commissioning shredder machinery newly delivered to customers so that they are operational as soon as possible.
• Providing basic shredder operation and maintenance training to customer operators to ensure their ability to use shredders safely and effectively.
• Interpreting schematics, manuals, and other specifications to ensure that all services and repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
• Frequent overnight stays (on average at least 3 nights per week)
• Weekend work may be required and, on a Rota, basis.

Multiskilled Field Service Engineer Essential Experience / Skills:

• Apprentice trained Electrical / Mechanical Engineer (Multi- Skilled)
• Single or 3 phase Electrical qualifications experience is essential.
• Skilled in diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical machinery faults.
• Worked with gearboxes and bearings.
• Experience Installing and commissioning industrial machinery.
• Full UK driving licence (ideally clean)
• Flexibility is required in relation to working hours to ensure that jobs are finished.

Advantageous:

• Experience of welding and burning.
• Possession of a forklift licence are desirable but not essential.

Additional Package Information:

• 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00-15:30 (45 mins for lunch each day)
• 21 days’ holiday pro rata (January – December holiday year) plus your birthday and bank holidays. This will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 25 days’ holiday plus birthday and bank holidays.
