Employing around 75 people across the UK, this organisation provides end-to-end solutions to the healthcare industry, this involves design, manufacture, commissioning and aftercare of bespoke equipment & machinery. Because of continued demand of their products, this employer is actively searching for a Field Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis,

This employer is based in Yorkshire, but this Field Service Engineer role will cover the Midlands area, meaning the successful candidate can be based anywhere near Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Dudley, Stratford, Worcester, Kidderminster, Northampton, Nottingham etc.

Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

  • Working in a variety of operational Healthcare facilities (NHS & private hospitals, dental practices, veterinarian facilities etc.) to conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of bespoke equipment
  • Performing diagnostic & fault finding activities on pre-installed systems in order to determine the appropriate methods of maintenance
  • Continuously adhering to the clinical nature of the above mentioned environments - for example, adhering to infection controls, cleanliness policies, clothing policies etc.
  • Reading, interpreting and working directly from blueprints, diagrams and drawings whilst effectively using a variety of tools & techniques to ensure all systems are accurately installed


For the Field Service Engineer, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

  • Formal qualifications within EITHER an Electrical or Mechanical subject (Degree, Apprenticeship, HND, HNC, City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC Level 3 etc.)
  • Previous experience working in a hands-on position, ideally within a Maintenance, Install or Fitting focused role, within an a Production, Manufacturing or Industrial environment
  • A flexible approach to travel and working hours - because of the nature of this type of work, you will frequently be required to work evenings (for example: 3/4PM to 11PM)
  • The willingness to learn & develop - because of the niche nature of these products, full training and support will be provided


In return, the successful Field Service Engineer will receive:

  • Annual Salary: Up to £38,000.00 (£18.73)
  • Holiday Allowance: 33 Days including public holidays
  • Door to door pay with frequent overtime available (133% Midweek / 150% Saturdays / 200%)
  • Company Van, Laptop & Mobile Phone
  • Company Pension: 8% Combined contribution
  • Comprehensive training to become multi-skilled (for example 18th edition & electrical qualifications paid for if you are Mechanically bias) as well as ongoing support & guidance
