CY Partners is recruiting for a Process Engineer to join a specialist manufacturer of chemical products located in Cheshire.  Supplying unique products to the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry, they are in the process of major upgrades & renovations to the plant, are seeking to hire a Process Engineer to manage ongoing plant modifications.

This position will be well suited to an experienced Engineer who is eager to take ownership of varied projects and make meaningful & impactive changes.

The role:

As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, & efficient processing of materials, alongside managing plant changes & installations.

Key duties will include:

  • Design & implement safe & efficient changes to Plant & equipment.
  • Leading the management of change process
  • Assist process safety studies and deliver process safety improvements.
  • Support the process safety engineering expert for new product development projects.
  • Lead HAZOP & LAZOP coordination.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Chemical / Process Engineering or similar relevant field.
  • Previous process / Chemical engineering experience on a COMAH site.
  • Good understanding of process safety and process hazard identification and risk control methods (LOPA, ALARP, HAZID, HAZOP)
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
