The Roe:

As the Lead Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design process forward. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, your responsibilities will include:

• Project Planning and Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, timelines, and constraints.
• Design Development: Oversee the development of project design from concept through construction documentation, ensuring compliance with building codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Team Management: Lead and manage the design team, including architects, engineers, drafters, and consultants, to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery of design deliverables.
• Design Review and Quality Control: Conduct regular design reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of design documents. Identify and address design issues and discrepancies to maintain project integrity.
• Budgeting and Cost Management: Work closely with project managers and estimators to develop and manage design budgets, track design-related expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.

Our client undertakes a diverse range of projects, including Industrial Warehouse Sector developments, Commercial Office New Builds, Retail Parks, Medical Laboratories, and Manufacturing Facilities, with project values of up to £30 million.
