Brief Summary:

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Scrum Master to train, develop, and create an environment where the program can thrive under this management structure. The intention of this role is to expand Cheltenham's capability to deliver programs using continuous improvement and lean principles alongside Scrum.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for the Scrum Teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to prioritise and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress, proactively addressing issues to maintain momentum and drive towards sprint goals.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and empowerment within the team, promoting open communication and a shared understanding of project scope and priorities.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile coaches across the organization to share best practices and drive consistency in Agile implementation.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master for systems, software, or other development teams, preferably in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, with practical experience implementing Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and distributed development environments is a plus.
  • Background technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering in Aerospace is highly desirable.
