First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a Design Engineer for their client who provide commercial recovery vehicles for their clients across the UK.
Due to expansion within the business , they're looking to add to their team.
In this role you will work as part of a team to produce designs for the in-house manufacturing plant. You will have a Mechanical/design knowledge as well as experience in using CAD software.
The Role:
- Working as part of a team on a range of light to heavy duty commercial vehicle projects.
- Identifying customer requirements/ specifications, reproducing these into concept designs.
- Design of assemblies in 2D/3D ranging from full assembly down to individual parts.
- Creation of BOM.
- Liaising with the production on day-to-day basis.
- Full product cycle experience from design through to manufacturing.
Successful Candidate:
- Experienced with AUTOCAD 2D and INVENTOR 3D package.
- Will be able to create 2D and 3D drawings.
- Experienced in designing light/medium sheet metal parts.
- Experienced in designing machined parts.
- Experienced in the design of light to heavy metal fabrications.
- Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge (not essential)
