Project Manager

The successful individual must have experience managing sites/projects with PSDS air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps or low carbon energy/energy decarbonsiation works.

Due to the recent award of a number of significant framework programmes, and a dedication to continued profitable, ambitious and long-term growth across the UK, our client is now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to take total responsibility for contracts in and around the Exeter area.

The Role

• Oversee the delivery of planned works within agreed timescales and budgets
• Review opportunities to improve cost base and supply chain
• Engage with clients, attending client and contractor meetings, and submitting written weekly reports to the Directors
• Management of reactive maintenance projects and any extra works as required
• Ensure RAMS are available for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
• Ensure subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
• Manage any queries or complaints in a timely manner
• Attend and contribute to operational, management and internal team meetings
• Maintain HSEQ in line with company procedures and industry legislation
• Maintain records in line with company procedures ensuring compliance with GDPR

The Person

• A relevant industry qualification, or demonstrable relevant working experience in the above mentioned sectors
• CSCS & SMSTS certified

•     Strong technical understanding with previous experience working across multiple sites

• Manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
• Ability to interact sensitively with others
• Pro-active, self-motivated and knows when to seek guidance
• ability to work alone and as part of a team to achieve common objectives
• Outgoing and able to communicate at all levels
• A high level of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
• Good IT Skills, including Microsoft Office, and a full UK driving licence
• Confident manner, with ability to work to deadlines, whilst remaining focussed
• A good communicator able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations
• Able to work under pressure and on your own initiative
• Able to prioritise own workload and produce monthly reports
