Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
The successful applicant will undertake planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Chesterfield.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance, service and repair activities at a busy foundry, machine shop and heat treatment facility.
We are seeking a highly skilled mechanical maintenance engineer with previous maintenance experience in heavy industry manufacturing environment.
Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Mechanical maintenance, service and repair of automated plant including conveyors,heavy presses, robots, induction furnaces, rollover and heat treatment machinery and more
- Hydraulic and pneumatic fault find and repair
- Motors, pumps, valves,bearings, belts etc etc
- Cooling plant
- Use of toolroom equipment to machine new and /or replacement parts
- Basic welding & fabrication
Candidates:
The successful candidate will be a trained mechanical maintenance engineer with a heavy industry manufacturing background such as waste & recycling, steel, quarry & aggregates, mining or foundry sectors.
You will be an experienced mechanical engineer ideally with minimum NVQ3 (or time served) in mechanical engineering. You will be capable of reading and interpreting mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
Hours of work:
12 hour - Days only - Panama Shift
