A global leading Medical Equipment specialist in the West Yorkshire region are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to further strengthen their Engineering team. This company have international coverage for their products and supply within a highly-niche sector. 
 
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll report directly to the Engineering Manager and help oversee the companies technical design for bespoke equipment used in the Medical sector. This is a full life cycle role involving new product design & development, prototyping, FEA testing and working to medical class 1 standards using Solidworks.
 
This is a perfect opportunity for a Design Engineer with strong capabilities in Precision Equipment design with an aptitude to learn a new market and industry for a globally recognised business.
 
Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

• Apprentice Trained / HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3D CAD - Solidworks (desirable)
• DFM – Machined Parts, Injection Moulding, Plastics, Extrusions etc. (desirable)
• Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures
• GD&T (BS8888)
• Strong Organisational Skills (Technical Documentation, BOM’s etc.)
