Frontline Recruitment Derby Ltd are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our clients experienced team based 10 minutes out of Derby City Centre.

As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating manual machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical mind, machine operation and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Duties:

- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, and grinders to produce required parts. Further Training will be provided to work to company standard.

- Perform machining operations including drilling, turning and grinding

- Inspect finished parts for quality and make necessary adjustments

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or tools

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating manual machines such as lathes and grinders, mechanically minded with basic maths
 

Working Hours:

Working a double day shift fortnightly rotation

Days 06:00 -14:30 Monday-Fri

Afternoons 14:00 -22:30 Mon-Thurs with Friday off

There may be opportunities to work nights in the future if desired.

40 Hour week paid £13 ph + SA, + overtime at Time and a half and double time during busy periods.
