£50k - £55k Salary + Bonus + Package

Paid Overtime at Enhanced Rates means Anticipated Earnings of £65k - £70k (excl. Bonus)

5D Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading engineering company based in the heart of the home counties.  After seeing a sustained period of growth since its buyout eighteen months ago, we are looking to recruit a Production Manager, who will report directly into the Operations Director.  Our client specialises in the manufacture of bespoke fabrications, enclosures, and structural steel. Our client works with some of the major players within industries such Formula 1, Food Production and Medical.

The successful candidate will not only manage the day-to-day production needs but will also be looking to continuously improve policies and processes.

Requirements

What the role will involve for the Production Manager:

Responsible for the day to day running of the production facility, including managing a team of twenty people.

Be responsible for the planning of workload, including welding and fabrication, laser cutting, punching, and metal forming.

Understand the products, workflow, and business to help shape the vision for the future.

Management of the staff, including coaching and mentoring staff, planning holidays, performance appraisals and disciplinary process.

Meet head-on and address production challenges.

Update and work with the ERP system.

Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure quality of delivery.

Manage the production plan and communicate workload and priorities to the shop floor.

Work with the Operations Director to devise, implement, and enforce H&S policies and procedures.

What we are looking for in a Production Manager:

A self-starter, who can lead by example.

A background or experience within in sheet metal fabrication.

Experience managing sizable teams, with the ability to motivate people.

Ability to work under pressure and be adaptable to last-minute changes.
