Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and be responsible for the Highways and Transport department, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Drive continuous improvements in all aspects of the service, overseeing the planning and implementation of enhancements that positively impact the professional service and Council.
- Develop and deliver the highways capital programme and major projects, including oversight and programme management of large-scale initiatives to achieve agreed outcomes and maintain sound financial management practices.

- Traffic Management and Transport Policy
- Highway Project Delivery
- Highway Design
- Transport Development Management
- Highway Asset Management
- Professional Services Contracts
- Day-to-day running of various professional services, including contracts and construction projects
- Detailed budget monitoring
- Staff performance management
- Proven experience in a leadership role within Highways and Transport, with a track record of delivering results and driving improvements.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee large programmes of work and manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments and engage with diverse audiences.
