Job Title: Proposals Engineer
Salary: £40 – 50k + 25 days holiday + pension
Hours: Monday to Friday daytime (early Friday finish)
Location: Bolton
The Person:
- Mechanical Engineering qualification – Degree level ideally
- This role may suit a Sales Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Internal Sales Engineer, Inbound Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Estimating Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Graduate Engineer.
- Experience of working with and understanding of technical drawings, 2D / engineering drawings.
- Good comminution and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with special purpose machinery for manufacturing process sector (eg food, pharmaceutical, energy, biomass, chemicals or similar) would be beneficial but not essential.
The Job:
- Evaluate inbound customer enquiries into machinery and equipment sales / solutions.
- Liaise with customer to discuss problem, requirement, application, solution.
- Calculate sizes and specifications and prepare quotations.
- Liaise with design and workshop to help plan and organise jobs / projects.
- Mainly office based with 1 or 2 customer visits / meetings per month.
