Human Resources Generalist - Permanent - Part time (20 hours)

Castle Vale, Birmingham

We are delighted to represent a prestigious, multinational manufacturing organisation in their appointment of a Human Resources Generalist to work part time (20 hours per week)

The HR Generalist will provide a professional generalist Human Resources service to an established Midlands based manufacturing facility, supporting its integration into a multinational Group further to a fairly recent acquisition.

The HR Generalist will provide advice, information and support, and covering all manner of HR accountabilities including performance management, learning and development, employee and industrial relations, talent management and succession planning, culture change, recruitment and selection and site communication and engagement in a well-structured and well supported HR setting.

Key skills

  • Proven track record in similar HR Generalist or HR Advisor role in an industrial manufacturing or engineering based setting  
  • CIPD accreditation preferred  
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and its application, able to act as a confident and decisive subject matter expert in this field
  • Previous experience of HR best practice and implementing progressive policies to achieve optimum employee engagement
  • Proactive, analytical and logical problem solver
  • An energetic change agent, resilient and always keen to challenge the status quo and drive improvements to progress and refine the people agenda
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ideally happy to travel infrequently to other Group sites in the UK
