Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE

The opportunity:
Are you looking for a pioneering company as an Environmental Project Engineer where you can work in world-class, specialist mechanical and climatic facilities? You will be able to use ground-breaking analytical tools and powerful, innovative techniques for simulating environments across the weapons life cycle.
You will provide a technical focal point for all stages of the product lifecycle, through concept definition, design aid and formal qualification, and onto in-service support. Our expertise covers the areas of: requirements specification and management; definition of proving methodologies; project management; data analysis; simulation and modelling and testing in climatic, mechanical (vibration and shock) and fatigue.
We apply specialist technical knowledge and advice, with responsibility for technical accuracy and delivery of projects within assigned work packages. The role of Environmental Project Engineer provides plenty of opportunity for 'hands-on' engineering coupled with technical work based on fundamental engineering principles.
What we expect from you:
- Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Experience in planning, managing, and delivering small to medium-sized work packages.
- Knowledge of environmental engineering within the defense sector or relevant industry.
- Familiarity with vibration, shock, temperature, and humidity environments, including their relevance to various products at different stages of the life cycle.
- Understanding of environmental test processes, test measurements, and instrumentation.
- Possession of an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- A proactive individual with an inquisitive nature, committed to seeking solutions.
