We have an exciting opportunity for a Steelwork Draughtsman to join a successful and long-standing steelwork engineering business.

You can expect a supportive and friendly working environment, and the location near to Sandwell, West Midlands, makes it easy to commute to from surrounding areas.

You should have experience with either Strucad or Tekla and can expect a very good basic salary (with optional overtime paid at enhanced rates available, increasing your earning potential). 

Steelwork Draughtsman Duties: 

•    Working from engineering/GA drawings to create 3D CAD Tekla or StruCad models (mainly portal frame buildings). 

•    Create detailed assembly/fabrication drawings, bills of material, erection drawings from the 3D model. 

•    Raise RFIs/TQs as required where more information is required. 

Steelwork Draughtsman requirements: 

•    Experience working as a Draughtsman on steelwork projects such as steel framed buildings is essential. 

•    Experience using either Tekla or StruCad software is much essential. 

•    Have a good eye for detail and take pride in your work. 

•    Must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
