Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Forklift Engineer based Nottingham

Our client is seeking an experienced Forklift Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of forklift trucks, as well as providing technical support to our customers.

Requirements:

• A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in forklift maintenance and repair
• Experience working as a forklift engineer
• Experience with a variety of forklift trucks, including diesel, electric and LPG
• A good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• A valid driver's license

Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing and repairs to forklift trucks and related equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of forklift trucks
• Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues
• Complete job cards and maintain accurate records of work carried out
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
