Our Client is Hiring a Process Safety Engineer!
Do you have a passion for safety and a strong understanding of risk management?
We're looking for a talented Process Safety Engineer to join our client's team and provide expert support across various business initiatives. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of operations in the UK, including OFDs, RAF Bases, and potentially overseas locations like Singapore and Gibraltar.
What you'll do:

• Assist line management, teams, and stakeholders with process safety and risk management using tools like DSEAR/HAC assessments, HAZOPs, and more.
• Help develop and maintain MACR/COMAH Safety Reports to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
• Participate in hazard assessments and workshops to continuously improve safety standards.
• Travel moderately throughout the UK (England, Scotland) and potentially overseas for on-site duties (full, clean driving license preferred).

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Upholding risk mitigation, safety, and operational effectiveness through regulatory compliance.
• Identifying and managing risk factors for COMAH sites using ALARP principles (As Low As Reasonably Practicable).
• Conducting various assessments like HAZOPs, SIL/LOPA, HRAs, ERAs, and more.
• Contributing to COMAH Safety Report development and maintenance.
• Supporting business initiatives, major projects, and investigations.
• Selecting improved safety measures for managed assets.
• Promoting key HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) goals and proposing cost-effective solutions.
• Designing and delivering training programs for staff and partners.
• Monitoring corrective actions and generating regular reports.
• Providing HSSE performance data reports to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Conducting HSSEQ tender evaluations.

About You:

• An engineering graduate with DSEAR experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-risk (COMAH) industry.
• Extensive experience in process safety management.
• Understanding of MAH regulations related to tank storage and COMAH requirements.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills at all levels.
• Comfortable raising concerns and advocating for safety improvements.
