Vacuum Braze Manager / Furnace Section Manager / Heat Treatment Engineer / Team Leader / Vacuum Braze Engineer required to join a manufacturer in Wellingborough.
The Vacuum Brazing Manager / Furnace Section Manager / Heat Treatment Engineer / Team Leader will be responsible for the operational management of the in-house vacuum furnace, treatment inspections and preparation work.
The successful Vacuum Brazing Manager / Furnace Section Manager / Heat Treatment Engineer / Team Leader will ideally have knowledge of running a furnace, vacuum brazing or a metallurgy or materials science background and be commutable to Wellingborough.
Package
£42,500 plus bonus

Role
Operational management of the in-house vacuum furnace and treatment inspections and preparation work
Responsible for monitoring, managing, and controlling furnace and vacuum brazing department
Management of a small team of production operators responsible for all pre and post vacuum brazing quality inspections and vacuum brazing processing
Compliance and adherence of all vacuum brazing / furnace activities
Through the utilisation of lean techniques, strive to exceed productivity, efficiency and quality targets
Creation, delivery, and execution of detailed vacuum brazing furnace production plans
Identify opportunities for process and product improvement
Departmental reporting as part of the Management team
Participate in the recruitment process of new starters
Delivery of annual appraisals
Hours: 07.00 – 16.15 Monday to Thursday and Friday 07.00 – 12.00
Site based in Wellingborough
Requirements
Exposure to managing / running a furnace or knowledge of vacuum brazing process. Alternatively a background in heat treatment, metallurgy or materials science would be considered
Experience in a supervisory, management or looking for a move into this - Vacuum Brazing Manager / Vacuum Braze Engineer / Vacuum Braze Manager / Furnace Section Manager / Heat Treatment Engineer / Team Leader / Department Manager
HNC or above in engineering, metallurgy, materials science or related qualification
Commutable to Wellingborough
