Senior Draftsperson

Location: Belvedere, Kent 

Salary: £55k - £65k + Excellent Benefits

Full-Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

The Client:

Our client is a well-established design & construction firm, specialising in creating fabrication for all sectors of the entertainment industry.

The Role:

As a Senior Draftsperson, you will transform design concepts into detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and other 2D & 3D software.

Responsibilities:

• Project management autonomy, ensuring timely and quality completion.
• Delivering projects by considering optimal construction methods and materials within budget and timeline constraints.
• Coordination with internal teams for design implementation and adjustments.
• Specification of construction methodologies, prioritising efficiency, and innovation.
• Mentorship of junior staff, fostering a learning environment.
• Effective cross-departmental communication.
• Participation in client meetings and site surveys as required.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as a Draftsperson or in a similar role.
• Experience in a workshop or construction setting.
• Understanding of construction principles in carpentry and metalwork.
• Familiarity with the materials used in the sector.
• Skilled in 2D and 3D drafting tools, notably AutoCAD.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
• 3 / 5 Axis CNC machining experience would be desirable.
