Due to continued business growth, our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team, based in Lancaster on a full time, permanent basis.  

As Project Manager you will be actively managing, coordinating, and planning the individual contracts, using the necessary skills required to deliver the needs of the customer whilst actively controlling the financial, technical and commercial aspects of the contract, whilst managing client expectations and company resources.  

The Project Manager will hold extensive experience in Project Management with a proven track record of managing multiple successful projects in a fast-paced environment.    

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • Previous experience in project management within an engineering project led business.
  • Project Management degree and / or relevant experience
  • Proficient user of MS Office programmes including extensive experience in Microsoft Project
  • Excellent Customer facing / service skills
  • Oil and gas/renewables background (preferred)
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to identify and incorporate engineer cost reductions
  • Ability to enhance supplier relationships
  • Ability to identify and manage business risk
  • P&L reporting experience
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism in building client relationships
  • Hold commercial awareness
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Time management discipline

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the successful integration of all mechanical design activities, procurement, milestone completion and client supplier meetings.
  • Responsible for ensuring the technical requirements and scope of supply are as defined in the contract and ensure they are incorporated as an engineering deliverable.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining project schedules as required.
  • Management and maintenance of the Project P&L, reviewing and updating monthly cost reports as necessary.
  • Manage project risk matrices.
  • Responsible for the management of all contractual requirements such as; VO's / Extensions etc.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with the company's HSEQ Management System whilst identifying any additional health and safety requirements of clients.
  • Manage and facilitate communication across the business to ensure that the project deliverables are met and maintained.
  • Coordinate design reviews as necessary
  • Assist to support cost control and forecasting activities.
  • Responsible for generating documentation in align with the company’s' Quality Management System liaising with Document Control as required.
  • Assist with other duties as required.
