Are you an experience Service Engineer or Test Engineer who would be interested in a service role for a test equipment manufacturer. They are involved in test system design, build, fixturing, and software, ensuring quality products and services for global clients across various sectors.

Job Purpose:

As a Service Engineer, you will collaborate with our existing team to deliver and support Electronic Test Systems. Your role involves gaining proficiency with FLEX test systems, conducting on-site and in-house calibration of customer test systems, and diagnosing test system/application issues.

General Description:

You will learn to support electronic test applications, run test programs using LabVIEW and TestStand, and service test systems at customer premises across the UK and Europe. We provide comprehensive training in test system architecture, fault finding, instrument calibration, LabVIEW, TestStand programming, and software installation.

Qualifications Required:

• Formal engineering qualification in electronic engineering/electrical engineering to a minimum of HNC level.
• Knowledge of NI LabVIEW and TestStand is advantageous.
• A Level (or equivalent) in at least two of the following: Maths, Physics, IT, Electronics.

Competencies:

Ability to work independently on customer sites for maintenance, repair, and calibration activities.

• Methodical approach with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in fault finding and diagnosing complex system problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with customers at all levels.
• Calm and positive demeanor under pressure.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel at short notice and flexibility for occasional long working hours.
• Familiarity with ATE systems, especially former Marconi/IFR/Aeroflex/Cobham & Viavi systems, is advantageous.
• Understanding of instrumentation control systems (LXI, GPIB, Serial, USB).
• Proficiency in PC architecture and MS operating systems from Windows NT to Windows 10.

Must hold a full UK or EU Driver's License.
