Plating Quality Inspector

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Plating Quality Inspector to join our well established client. 

Job Duties: 

• Inspection of production components. 
• Advise operators on inspection standards.
• Inspection reporting where required.
• Final Inspection or both plated and heat treated parts.
• Liaise with 3rd party Inspectors when on site inspecting customer goods.
• Packaging of goods.
• Producing technical reports as required.
• Endorse production housekeeping promoting the importance of a clean, tidy, safe working environment in accordance with 5S practices.
• Raise any non-conformance issues on any item as soon as they are identified using the company procedures.
• Support investigation of the non-conformance process.
• Drive improvement activities to prevent recurrence of Quality issues.
• Assist in set up reduction, lean, continuous improvement activities as required.

Requirements: 

• Sound engineering background.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Experience with technical measuring equipment and complicated machined components.
• Familiar with surface quality requirements on coated/painted components.
• Worked within AS9100 / ISO9001 quality management system.
• Able to read and understand technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Worked with manufacturing ERP software/systems. 
• Teamwork skills. 

Salary: Competitive. 

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm or 7am - 5pm. 

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
