J ​J Bullen was founded in 1982 by Mr. John Joseph Bullen, who specialises in plant and machinery hire. The business continued to grow and build its respected reputation along the way.

As the years passed, J Bullen underwent a strategic transition. It moved away from plant hire to focus on its true passion and expertise: the supply and manufacture of excavator buckets, ripper teeth, and other attachments.

The Role

We are a well established engineering company based in Ormskirk. Our specialties lie within the heavy plant sector. We pride ourselves on working with leading industry names. We supply and manufacture excavator buckets using Hardox steel along with many other plant/ quarrying components as the customer requires.

We pride ourselves on our work and are able to turn out high quality pieces of equipment and as such have a highly regarded client base.

We are looking for a hard working individual who has experience in welding and fabrication works using steel.

We have many pieces of machinery within the workshops here that enable us to turn out these high quality components such as press brakes, lathes and plasma cutters etc.....

Due to the nature of the job the candidate would have to take health and safety seriously and be able to work well under pressure alone and alongside other employees.

Some other duties include-

• Assemble and fabricate metal parts and components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Perform basic math calculations to measure and mark dimensions on materials
• Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams to determine project requirements
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
