Electrical Design Engineer

£40-50K + company bonus + hoidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Make sizing calculations including but not limited to drive and motor sizing, electrical loading, current calculations, and panel cooling.
• Select electrical hardware such as PLC's HMI, drives, motors, sensors, instrumentation and low voltage equipment, communicating with suppliers where appropriate.
• Produce the electrical design using electrical CAD software (currently EPLAN).
• Produce the pneumatic and hydraulic design when appropriate.
• Create the bill of materials (BOM) for electrical components of the machine.
• Contribute to the production and development of functional design specifications for individual projects.
• Assist in development and maintenance of systems, processes, and procedures for the electrical design function within the Electrical Design Team such as, but not limited to, electrical CAD (eg. ePLAN), documentation, non-conformance. test procedures.

• Proven, checkable experience in a similar role
• Full, clean driving licence is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills.
• Professional certification in a relevant field is desirable.
