Salary around £40,000 per annum
We are looking for a suitably time served or degree qualified mechanical or electrical engineer with a background in quality systems with exposure to site health and safety and ideally a NEBOSH qualification.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an evolving team committed to ISO9001 and ISO45001 looking to obtain ISO14001 accreditation. You will ensure that products and processes meet all required standards, keeping things running smoothly, overseeing the quality lifecycle, identifying and solving problems.
The role requires a strong quality background within engineering or manufacturing which is seen as key with a secondary focus on maintaining and improving site health and safety.
Brief role outline
- Quality and HSE reporting and compliance
- Internal and external audits
- Be key in informing and educating, ensuring a positive culture
- Informing, advising and offering recommendations for improvements
- Root cause investigation
- Risk assessments
- Risk investigation
- Presenting key data to stakeholders
Key requirements
- Time served or degree qualified in a technical discipline
- Experience in a quality function within a manufacturing or engineering company
- Driving licence as supplier visits for audits is necessary
- Able to interpret technical drawings
Desirable requirements
- NEBOSH or similar or a desire to attain
- Auditor experience
- Experience using ERP systems
