We are delighted to be working with a leading provider of clean and reliable energy solutions to assist with their recruitment of an Industrial Maintenance Electrician.

As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. You will work closely with a team of highly qualified professionals to ensure the reliable and safe operation of the electrical infrastructure.

This position requires exceptional technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to adhering to stringent safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switch gear, control panels, and various monitoring systems.
* Conduct diagnostic tests to identify electrical malfunctions, interpret results, and take appropriate corrective actions to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in a timely manner, utilising schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Install, configure, and calibrate electrical components and systems according to specifications and engineering guidelines.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to power generation and adherence to outage schedules.
* Monitor electrical systems to identify potential hazards, faults, or anomalies and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
* Document all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for compliance and future reference.
* Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to electrical systems and apply this knowledge to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Recognised Electrical Engineering Qualification.
* Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably within Power Generation or a similarly complex industrial environment.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment, including generators, motors, transformers, switch gear, control systems, and instrumentation.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex electrical issues and propose effective solutions.
* Excellent understanding of safety regulations and protocols governing electrical work in a facility, with a commitment to adhering to strict safety standards.
* Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and proficiency in using various software tools for maintenance planning, data analysis, and documentation.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and contribute to a positive and safety-focused work environment.

This role will include a 4 weekly call-out rota with the requirement to be on call for 7 days at a time.
