Our client, a specialist engineering business based near Wallingford are looking for a Manual Lathe Machinist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Machinist to join a well-run and an established company on a temporary to permanent basis.
Your responsibilities as the Manual Lathe Machinist will include:
- Operation of various manual machines including large lathe and radial arm drills
- Carry out minor adjustments and minor maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Interpreting technical drawings to ensure correct spec on machined parts and components
- Use of measuring equipment tools
- Present a professional image, support and promote brand values at all times.
- Carry out all work practices in line with Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Meet high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Support site activities.
- Liaise with workshop and other personnel at all levels.
Previous experience of operating manual lathe machines is essential.
The successful applicant will begin on a temporary contract, with the possibility and expectation of converting to a permanent role following an agreed period.
