We are seeking a Project Manager to join a national market leader in the Building Management Systems industry & Energy Optimisation!

The Role

In the dynamic realm of smart buildings, Project Managers serve as pivotal orchestrators, guiding the deployment of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS) from inception to completion. Responsible for meticulous project planning, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation, they ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. With a keen focus on transparency and accountability, Project Managers monitor progress closely, adaptively managing changes and addressing challenges to safeguard project success. Their expertise and leadership drive sustainable progress, delivering smart building solutions that optimise energy efficiency, enhance occupant comfort, and shape the future of the built environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage project costs effectively, ensuring full cost management throughout allocated projects.
  • Adhere strictly to company ISO, Health & Safety (H&S) procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company H&S and Construction Design and Management (CDM) requirements, including the production of relevant documentation.
  • Attend site progress meetings and project review meetings as required, generating weekly project reports.
  • Take overall responsibility for submitting project variations and interim applications for payment.
  • Support final account agreements with assistance from the Regional Manager or Commercial Director.
  • Maintain up-to-date project files in line with quality management procedures.
  • Coordinate with estimating/sales teams at both technical and commercial levels.
  • Attend project handover meetings as necessary and manage project programme of works.
  • Prepare monthly revenue forecasts and Cash to Cash (C2C) reports.
  • Ensure regular communication with customers to guarantee complete satisfaction.
  • Procure control items and oversee control panel drawings/design approval.
  • Manage project resources, including labour forecasting, design, and delivery, as well as subcontractor management.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources effectively and evaluate subcontractor performance continuously.
  • Ensure operatives are suitably trained for allocated tasks and carry out project design tasks, including generating technical submissions and reviewing external design engineering.
  • Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and other documentation, ensuring all commissioning information is stored on the server upon project completion.
  • Attend necessary training courses and meetings.
  • Ensure ECS method statements and risk assessments are followed and amend them as required.
  • Undertake any other duties deemed necessary by business directors/managers.

  • Displays technical proficiency across various BMS/HVAC products.

  • Self-driven, responsible, and holds oneself accountable.
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills, effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, including Project.

Due to the nature of this role, you must possess a full UK driving licence.
