Senior Engineer

£33 - £35 per hour Umbrella

We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to lead with the support of the Facilities and Engineering Manager in all car parking matters and undertake key engineering roles within the team.

The Role:

• To manage all aspects of building, structures and engineering property-related matters, including scheme design, drawings, specification, contract administration and site supervision.
• To help to manage the Civil Parking Enforcement Service.
• To undertake routine CCTV system checks, maintenance and ad hoc requests and problems as may be required.
• To carry out the street naming and property numbering functions for all new developments and any requests for changes.
• To manage requests for all utility information.
• To lead on the maintenance/management of the car parks and street/footpath lighting.
• To assist with all aspects of Civil Contingencies (Emergency Planning) including any specific role as may be allocated, including emergency situations.
• To undertake surveys of land and structures as appropriate.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred..
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications or licensures may be advantageous.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing civil engineering projects of varying scope and complexity.
• Strong technical proficiency in civil engineering principles, practices, and software applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
