Multi Skilled Engineer (Ideally Electrically Bias)

Brough - Hull - Days - Monday to Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm

We are looking for a motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading company. Reporting directly to the Manager you will be a key member in ensuring customer products are kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. Role Description


Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to organizational health and safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proactively identify potential health and safety concerns and enhance personal safety awareness.
  • Maintain machines in optimal working condition.
  • Perform on-site maintenance tasks, following planned maintenance schedules and responding promptly to unforeseen breakdowns.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement effective systems.
  • Contribute to the development of Risk Assessments for both existing and newly introduced equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance machine availability and drive operational improvements.
  • Provide training to fellow staff members to ensure skill transfer across all operational areas.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in an engineering capacity within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and amending engineering drawings and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with variable speed drives, inverters, and PLCs.
  • Experience utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team or independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • A self-motivated individual with a strong desire for continuous learning and development.
