The Successful Service Manager / Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager will oversee and manage the workshop plus a team of fitters/service engineers working on a variety of pumps and fluid power equipment ensuring that the equipment is adequately serviced and maintained.
The Service Manager / Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager will ideally have Management or service supervisory experience in engineering. Full product training will be provided.
An experienced pump engineer looking to take their next step into management with a company looking to support growth and training would be considered.
Package
Circa £45K Depending on experience.

Service Manager / Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager Role
Provide leadership to the workshop team. Train, supervise and evaluate pump workshop engineers.
Monitoring the daily completion of tasks, ensuring deadlines are hit for services and repairs.
Managing a team working on rotating equipment, pumps, fans and motors using equipment such as millers, ballers lays and more.
Working on pump systems from manufacturers such as Lowara, Grundfos, Calpeda, Xylem.
Organising and running the workshop to ensure all activities are run to schedule, whilst maintaining a safe working environment, and continuously improving processes.
Managing budgets, forecasts and cost coordination.
Working to strict deadlines, ensuring tasks are delegated and maximum efficiency in the workshop.
Monitor customer satisfaction and respond to customers’ requests and enquiries.
Liaising with various engineering departments
Service Manager / Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager Requirements
Experience as a Workshop Manager, Engineering Manager, Service Manager, Service Supervisor, Pump Engineer, Installation Manager or similar in engineering.
Knowledge of various types of pump applications
Experience in supervising work or management of engineers.
An experienced pump engineer looking to take their next step into management with a company looking to support growth and training would be considered.
Electrical knowledge or qualifications would be beneficial.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings and troubleshoot technical issues.
Knowledge of quality procedures ( e.g ISO9001 )
Commutable to Oldham.
