Job Title: Welder

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: £17.40 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, mornings and afters

Position Summary:

Join our dynamic team as a Welder in Sheffield! We are seeking a skilled individual to fabricate and assemble components using manual TIG welding and semi-automated welding machines, and adhere to strict guidelines for safety, quality, and work instructions.

The role also involves conducting regular maintenance checks on machines, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and actively communicating with co-workers to maintain a structured workflow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct weld inspection operations to customer drawings.
• Perform manual and automatic TIG welding.
• Execute weld repairs.
• Ensure products meet correct tolerances and adhere to customer, internal, and industry standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Report to work on time, follow instructions, interact well with co-workers, and comply with work rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, requested, or needed.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Proven track record in welding (ideally with thin, under 1mm material)
• Aerospace experience – desirable
• Basic understanding of lean principles (5S)
• Experience working to production targets
