Project Engineer

Based in Ireland but working on UK contracts.

Our client is expanding its UK business and seeks a Project Engineer to contribute to planning, developing, and delivering assigned projects. This role focuses on larger contracts and off-site build solutions in the water industry.

Location: Office based in Co. Cork, Ireland, with occasional travel within the UK and Ireland. This role might suit a project engineer seeking some time working overseas, or an Irish person looking to return to live in Ireland

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support Team Lead/Project Managers in delivering water and wastewater treatment projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with on-site, workshop, and office-based personnel to ensure contract compliance.
• Conduct site visits for planning, monitoring, and closing out project activities.
• Liaise with clients for project planning and contract management.
• Ensure health, safety, environment, and quality standards are upheld throughout projects.
• Manage project finances, including purchasing and data entry.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Engineering or science degree, HND, or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year postgraduate experience in project engineering or related role in utilities or M&E engineering.
• Experience in the UK water industry preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, report writing, and data analysis.
• Willingness to travel and hold a full driving license.

Package:

• Salary: Up to £40,000, negotiable based on experience.
