My client is recruiting for Stairlift Engineers to join them on a permanent basis.
As a Stairlift Engineer you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of access equipment designed for the elderly and disabled. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of various mobility solutions. Here are the key responsibilities:
As a Stairlift Engineer you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of access equipment designed for the elderly and disabled. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of various mobility solutions. Here are the key responsibilities:
- Installation: You will be responsible for installing stairlifts, through-floor lifts, step lifts, ceiling track hoists, and automatic door operators. This involves assessing the site, ensuring proper fit, and configuring the equipment to meet individual needs.
- Service and Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain existing stairlifts and other mobility devices. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, perform repairs, and replace components as needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be critical in maintaining reliable equipment.
- Customer Interaction: As a Stairlift Engineer, you’ll interact with clients, explaining the functionality of the equipment, addressing their concerns, and providing excellent customer service. Clear communication and empathy are essential.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Keep abreast of product updates and technical advancements.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in installing, servicing, and repairing stairlifts and related mobility equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and find effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Precise workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications or qualifications in engineering, electrical work, or a related field.
