Senior Analog Electronics Engineer - Unleash Your Creativity and Innovation

In this pivotal role, you will have the freedom to apply your expertise in analog electronics engineering to plan, lead, and execute design tasks with a high degree of independence. As a Senior Analog Electronics Engineer, you will:

  • Be recognised as an expert in the field of analog electronics
  • Independently formulate technically innovative ideas and approaches
  • Advise and coach less senior engineers, reviewing work for technical accuracy and adequacy
  • Plan and execute work packages, either individually or as a work package owner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee work with development partners

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong expertise in analog design, including low noise amplifiers, op-amp selection, loop stability, discrete transistor circuits, power amplifiers, and filter design
  • Experience with switch mode power supplies, focusing on low noise/EMI, high efficiency, and low power
  • Proficiency in measurement and testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, vector network analysers, and thermal cameras
  • Knowledge of EMC, radio, and safety regulations (e.g., EN (phone number removed), EN61000, EN55011, EN55022)
  • Extensive experience in product development and schematic capture & circuit simulation

Additional advantageous skills include:

  • Processor interfacing (USB, I2C, SPI, RS232/485)
  • Digital signal processing and mathematical modelling
  • Understanding of ADC/DAC types, usage, and design
  • Experience with battery-powered devices and chargers
  • PCB layout skills and the ability to lead technical teams

Qualifications:

  • BSc, BEng, or HND (or equivalent) in analog electronics engineering or a related field
  • MSc, CEng, MIET (or equivalent) is preferred
