Job Title: Product Safety Engineer
Location: Stafford / Derby commutable. 2/3 days wfh / on site.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Product Safety Assurance in equipment design, aligning with client specifications.
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Integrate safety considerations throughout the design process and product lifecycle.
- Manage the implementation of Project Safety Management Systems.
- Innovate cost-effective safety practices.
- Resolve complex safety issues, compile technical reports, and present findings.
- Develop safety arguments for diverse equipment.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, business, and customer safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and provide Product Safety knowledge to others.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Product Safety Engineering with a track record of implementing Safety Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (e.g., HASAWA, COSHH, REACh, BS EN 61508, Def Stan 00-056, Def Stan 00-055, etc.).
Desirable (non-essential):
- CEng accreditation or equivalent experience.
- Membership in relevant industry bodies (e.g., SCSC, SaRS, IET, IMechE, etc.).
