We are on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join the team of our client, an established company with works in rail, specialising in M&E, Civils and S&T. As a Project Engineer, you will be delivering lineside Civils and Telecoms from our client’s team stationed in Nuneaton. Available on a long term contract or a permanent basis, this role is working on a long-term project and primed for professionals seeking stability and growth in their careers.

Requirements and Responsibilities as a Project Engineer:

  • Spearhead the implementation of Network Rail procedures and systems, ensuring they uphold our client’s commitment to cost-effectiveness, quality, safety, and environmental responsibility throughout design, construction, commissioning, and technical activities.
  • Engineer projects to the exacting standards and specifications set forth by Network Rail.
  • Apply advanced risk assessment techniques, including HAZOP analysis, to meticulously manage allocated projects while addressing environmental aspects.
  • Provide expert project management advice and site supervision of construction activities.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to conduct comprehensive reviews of design and/or construction activities.
  • Co-ordinate on-site Quality Inspections to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Take charge of all aspects of Inspection & Test plans, ensuring seamless delivery and attention to detail.

Essential Experience Requirements as a Project Engineer:

  • Experience in lineside civils, with additional telecoms installation experience considered a valuable asset.
  • Proven track record with at least 4 years' experience in the UK rail sector and at least 2 years as a Project Engineer working within the UK
  • Technical qualifications equivalent to HNC/HND or GNVQ level.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (desirable)
  • Previous experience in project safety management (desirable)
  • Self-organisation and prioritisation skills and an ability to thrive under pressure
