Production Manager

Are you an experienced Production manager, used to managing a large team within the manufacturing sector, looking for a senior level role on a growing site for a global manufacturer?

The role is due to promotion and the site is growing, with excellent working conditions.

The company manufacture into the aerospace and energy sector with an excellent machine shop facility.

This role will be managing a team including machinists, cell leaders and 3 shift supervisors. Its a days based role but is a 3 shift site.

Its a shopfloor based role focused on safety, quality and delivery of the products, plus upskilling the team.

The role

1. Full time permanent role based in Nottingham, managing a large team in a manufacturing machine shop environment
2. Management responsibilities include upskilling the team, budgets, quality, health and safety, continuous improvement, production planning and supply chain amongst others.
3. The role is shopfloor based and although the position has a number of key factors the main factor will be to lead, engage and motivate the team.

The Person

1. Working background within a machine shop manufacturing environment
2. Experience of managing a large team (ideally 50+) including second line management.
3. Working knowledge of lean/continuous improvement
4. Although a degree isn't essential, any evidence of professional development (EG lean, leadership, health and safety qualifications) will be preferred
