The opportunity

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join and fulfil the role of Mechanical CAD Engineer within the Project Engineering Team, working on a major capital investment project being undertaken on a Top Tier COMAH site based in Runcorn.

The role

Estimated Duration – 8 months
This role can be inside or outside of IR35
As a Mechanical CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for updating/ producing P&ID’s, designing pipe work and ancillary supports/ equipment for commissioning and updating associated documentation.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Responsible for updating/ producing P&ID’s, designing pipe work and ancillary supports/ equipment for commissioning and updating associated documentation.. Updating associated documentation and drawings.
  • Producing support drawing/ documents relating to Field Change Procedure as required.
  • Assistance to Project Engineers.

You will have the following skills and qualifications

  • Methodical work ethic; ensuring consistency in output
  • Capable of working independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical CAD Designer in Oil & Gas, chemical or petrochemical sector’.
  • IT literate.
  • Extensive experience with AutoCAD/ AuotDesk
  • ability to navigate and amend P&ID’s essential’.
  • Minimum HNC in Mechanical engineering or relevant qualification.
