Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: near Killington, Cumbria

Salary: Up to £39,000

Due to company growth my client is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

This opportunity is a day shift pattern and you’ll be joining an established team of engineers that are skilled in a variety of disciplines. Main responsibilities/main duties:

• Ensure that the plant machinery is running effectively and smoothly. Attending to routine maintenance, breakdown and repairs as required.
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs
• Completing modifications and improvements to better increase machine productivity
• Reactive and preventative maintenance
• Assisting with machine builds and installations when necessary
• Ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times and documentation is kept up to date

Key Skills Required/Desired

• Background in mechanical maintenance and heavy machinery
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing, food or packaging setting would be advantageous
• Fault finding, troubleshooting
• Previous experience completing planned maintenance, repairs and breakdown
