Manual Machinist & Turner

This growing business in Worsley who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Manual/Conventional Turner/Machinist.
You will be responsible for: -
- Manual turning and milling using manual machinery.
- The use of Ajax Turret milling machines and other machines to manufacturer new parts
- Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts
- Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats
- General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility.
- On call work – one in four
- General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal.
To apply you will be: -
- An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC)
- General bench fitting experience would be ideal.
- Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal.
- Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude
- Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.

- OTE around £40,000 plus with overtime
