In the role of Tooling Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the manufacture, repair, and development of process equipment parts. Your expertise will also be crucial during the refurbishment of process machinery, ensuring optimal performance and innovation.
Hours of work: 8.30am to 4.30pm
Tooling Engineer Responsibilities
- Provide Toolmaking support during the refurbishment of process equipment.
- Assist the technical department regularly and during plant shutdown periods.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers in installing new equipment and modifying existing ones.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, offering valuable insights.
- Manufacture and install parts required for machinery refurbishment.
- Utilise manual mills and lathes effectively for various tasks.
- Apply creative engineering skills to provide tailored solutions or modify existing parts.
- Create engineering drawings, with AutoCAD experience being an advantage.
About You:
- Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering capacity.
- Possess experience in a toolmaking or special purpose machinery environment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and manufacturing special purpose machines.
- IT literate with good interpersonal skills; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- A creative problem solver capable of making specific parts or modifying existing ones.
