Sales Engineer, Poole, Salary £44,000

The purpose of this role: 

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the creating of quotes and proposals while delivering technical assistance to both internal and external clients. Engaging directly with customers involves assessing inquiries and offering the optimal technical and commercial solutions, contributing to business expansion and the attainment of strategic goals.

As Sales Engineer you will: 

• Translate customer requirements into valve solutions, supporting customers directly or through the Business Development Manager/Key Account Manager.
• Evaluate and categorise Sales Engineering inbox inquiries based on complexity and team workload.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate, and analyse costs and margins for customer needs.
• Provide technical support to the Customer Service team.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to identify new product opportunities.

As Sales Engineer you will have: 

• Solid general education with an HNC in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Extensive background in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in assembly and manufacturing processes, with strong estimating skills.
• High commercial awareness and customer focus..
• Accurate estimation of manufacturing, assembly cycle times, and material costs.
