Are you a Wiring Harness Technician in the automotive industry? Are you used to working with System 25? Would you like top venture into the fast paced world of motorsport? If you have answered yes to all of these, then we would like to hear from you.

Our client is looking for an experienced Harness Technician to join their production team. As a business they specialise in the design and tier 1 manufacture of high and low voltage power distribution systems and wiring harnesses for sectors including automotive, motorsport and aerospace.

Roles and Responsibilities
 

  • Manufacture of motorsport and automotive electrical harnesses .
  • Build of low and high voltage assemblies and enclosures.
  • Perform end of line test procedures such as continuity, isolation and resistive tests.
  • Work with in-house engineering team as required to support design and development.

 
Experience Requirements
 

  • Minimum 2 years wiring harness manufacture experience in automotive, motorsport or aerospace.
  • Wire wrapping/twisting experience.
  • Moulded Parts and/or System 25 experience.
  • Service loops experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and harness manufacturing drawings.
  • Ability to work to a high level of dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
  • Knowledge of common connector systems, wire types and sleeving.
  • Knowledge of and experience of working to automotive and/or motorsport wiring standards.
  • Experience of working with high voltage cables and connectors (preferred).
  • Experience of end-of-line testing (e.g. Cirris) an advantage (preferred).
